Free to Grow - Miracle Man (Official Video)

Bruce Hughes has been a participant and active supporter of the Fredericton music scene for many years. On May 31, 2017 he suffered a massive stroke and ultimately was transported to Saint John New Brunswick where a medical team performed a mechanical thrombectomy. Given the severity of the stroke, and the time it took for treatment, the extent of Bruce’s recovery was considered a miracle by health care staff. By September 2017 Bruce performed in a reunion of his former band “Blind Dog” at Fredericton’s renowned Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival. While working hard to complete a full recovery Bruce now regularly performs with his current band “The Unheard.” A huge thank you to the health care workers who took care of Bruce and to those who participated in the making of this video. A special thanks also to friends of Free to Grow who eagerly participated in recording this tune with our band: Lead vocals by Fredericton’s Queen of Rock and Roll Tina Gaudreau (Mad Mary / The Dirt). Saxophones by TC Richards (8 Track Mind / STU Jazz) and Rachel Forbes (STU Jazz). Trumpet by Conrad Mead (Downtown Blues Band / The Redemptions). Backing vocals by Miracle Man Bruce Hughes (The Unheard). From Free to Grow: guitars by Joe Bonnell, backing vocals Catherine LeBlanc, bass Larry LeBlanc, drums James Rooney, keys and banjo Jeff Patch.
