Japanese Rock Icons [ALEXANDROS] Announce New Album Ahead Of BLEACH Netflix Release
Japanese rock icons [ALEXANDROS] have announced their 7th full-length album, Sleepless in Brooklyn, which will be out November 21st via Universal Music Japan. Following the success of early singles “Kabuto” and “Mosquito Bite,” Sleepless In Brooklyn will bring the band’s sound to new heights and solidify their places as rock legends in Japan and beyond. Featured new tracks include “ARPEGGIO” and “Your Song,” which will also serve as the theme song and insert song for the upcoming PlayStation®4 video game Project Judge starring one of Asia’s top stars Takuya Kimura. Earlier this year, [ALEXANDROS] shared a special collaborative video for “Mosquito Bite” with the live-action film BLEACH - for which it serves as the main theme song. It was just announced that BLEACH will make its North American debut on Netflix September 14th through an exclusive streaming deal with the platform.
BLEACH is a live-action adaptation of the best-selling comic book starring Sota Fukushi and directed by Shinsuke Sato, who has directed numerous hit Japanese films including “GANTZ”. It is one of the most highly regarded films of the summer in Japan and [ALEXANDROS] wrote andperform the theme song “Mosquito Bite” as well as a second featured track, “MILK”. Fans of the band have been enthralled with the Jrock quartet’s latest offering, and the official video for “Mosquito Bite” has racked up over a million views since it’s release. Both songs, along with three additional tracks, can be heard on the Mosquito Bite EP which was released on July 18th and is available for stream/purchase now athttps://umj.lnk.to/mosquitobite.

The anticipation for a stateside tour has been building since the band’s well-received appearance at SXSW in 2016. [ALEXANDROS] kick things off October 14th in Dallas, TX making their way to audiences across the country before wrapping the tour in New York City at the historic Gramercy Theatre. [ALEXANDROS] also hold their own yearly event, VIP Party, with this year’s sold out concert held August 16th at ZOZO Marine Stadium to 35,000 fans. The band signed with Universal Music Japan in 2015.
