(May 29, 2020) –– “I wonder what I’d be like now if I could forget you, I’m turning myself all inside out wondering if I regret you”, Maggie Gently (she/her) sings on her latest single, “Alive”. The San Francisco-based songwriter has already begun to make a name for herself throughout the Bay Area with her previous band The Total Bettys, but today she’s chosen to forge her own path with the release of her new EP ‘Good Cry’, in partnership with Brace Cove Records.
Regarding the new album, Maggie reveals, “The whole EP documents that journey of feeling lost and then learning slowly to trust my intuition.” The album is an introspective and vulnerable confession of Maggie’s experience with losing a best friend, and finding herself through that loss.
