This years 10th Vestrock Festival, an intimate three-day boutique festival set on a beautiful island in the fortified medieval city of Hulst (Zeeuws Vlaanderen, the Netherlands), takes place soon and a whole host of fabulous artists have just been added to the line up incl the UK's White Lieswho will play the Main Stage alongside Kaiser Chiefs and Nothing But Thieves who will headline the weekend.

White Lies new album entitled Five was released on February 1st, 2019 - marking a decade of their
existence whilst cementing their new home at [PIAS] Recordings.
The band are currently undertaking a full European album release tour and they share a new seven-minute epic recording Time To Give:
Five sees the West-London trio scaling new creative heights with re-energised
confidence. The landscape has drastically changed over the past decade,
contemporaries have come and gone, consumerism constantly evolving but White Lies fans have remained as fervent and committed as ever both in the UK and
Internationally.
As the band explains; “This is a mile stone record for White Lies. It marks our decade as a band, which has pushed us to expand our sound and reach new
territory artistically - it marks the start of a new and exciting chapter for us."
The writing and recording process took in both sides of the Atlantic including a creative sojourn to Los Angeles where they worked on new material with old
acquaintance Ed Buller - producer of two previous White Lies albums including the band’s chart-topping debut To Lose My Life and third release Big TV. The entire recording and writing process for Five has allowed the band to utilise pastassociates whilst also using the freedom to create the record they wanted to make.
Enlisting engineer James Brown (Arctic Monkeys, Foo Fighters), renowned producer Flood who can also be heard contributing synths and keys on a couple of tracks. Whilst eminent Grammy Award recipient Alan Moulder (Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails, The Killers) having worked on the band’s first two albums returns to mix the album.
More complex and bolder than its four predecessors with the addition of personal and-at-times intimate lyrics of bassist and primary songwriter Charles Cave, Five provides a confident stride forward as Cave concludes (somewhat tongue-in cheek), “I guess it’s true what they say, Five really IS the magic number.”

VESTROCK is an intimate two-day boutique festival on a beautiful island in the fortified medieval town of Hulst (Zeeuws Vlaanderen, The Netherlands), featuring four stages, good food and great drinks, a 2-day capacity of 10,000 visitors per day, an average of 65 live acts per edition and a marvellous camping site. In 2019 the festival celebrates its 10th edition.
During the past few years the festival has grown to be one of the most unique and ambitious festivals of The Netherlands. VESTROCK, also known as ‘the festival of friendship’, brings you a combination of rock, pop and dance music. Besides this, it gives you the possibility to be part of special and intimate musical sessions away from the island itself, in a place called the VESTROCK BREWERY. This is where the festival also brews its own beer, VESTROCK BLOND.
