Gli Scala Mercalli rilasciano il Lyric Video di “Honest Brigants”, canzone tratta dall'ultimo album “Independence”. Il brano racconta del periodo tra gli inizi del 1800 fino a poco dopo l’unità d’Italia del 1861, quando nella penisola italiana, soprattutto nelle regioni del sud ci furono uomini e donne che lottarono solo per difendere la popolazione della loro terra dalle ingiustizie dei potenti signori locali. Quest’ultimi furono appoggiati dai diversi governi che si susseguirono, dai Vicerè Borboni, ai monarchi Sabaudi, agli occupatori stranieri che sfruttavano ingiustamente il loro popolo. Si unirono a loro anche molti ex garibaldini che lottarono per l’Unità d’Italia, traditi dal nuovo stato che non li integrarono come promesso nel nuovo esercito italiano. Queste persone furono ingiustamente chiamate Briganti, alla stregua di ladri e assassini qualunque, quali in realtà non erano.
