Black Lion is pleased to welcome Philadelphia based Progressive Black Death Metallers IATT and German Death Folk black band Vagrant into Black Lion
Few bands can match the ferocity and sheer brutal combination of melodic, progressive death and vile black metal that IATT has manege to conjured.
Hailing from Philadelphia PA, IATT bring forth a relentless, fast paced, crushing wall of blackened brutality and haunting melodies. Listeners can expect to hear a searingly dark, aggressive blend of brutality and purely sinister blackened metal that is sure to leave them foaming at the mouth.Conceived in 2008 IATT quickly began to heave their mass out of the dark abyss and shape themselves into a leviathan in the world of extreme metal opening for acts such as Rotting Christ, Goatwhore, Suffocation, Exhumed, Obscura, Beyond Creation, Psycroptic, Keep of Kalessin, Melechesh, Destoyer 666, Origin, Exodus, Hate, Inquisition, Incantation, Malevolent Creation, Enthroned, Hate Eternal, Kommandant, Downfall of Gaia, Abigail Williams, and The Breathing Process.

IATT is thrilled to announce our signing to Black Lion Records. We feel that we've found the right fit for us as a band to call home and are excited to work with and among a roster of incredible acts. IATT has been gearing up to expand our reach, and we feel that Black Lion Records is the right space for us to continue to grow and progress in our art.
Throughout our career as musicians, IATT has been able to stay true to our roots while growing and pushing our sound as we mature. In the case of our forthcoming album entitled Nomenclature, we are excited to expand on the seeds we planted with our 2018 EP St. Vitus Dance. Much like it's predecessor; Nomenclature focuses and expands on the themes of mysticism and dark nature surrounding primitive medicine circa 1700. The worlds of science and the occult/superstition weren't very far from each other, and at times became interwoven in an effort to unravel the secrets of the human body. Ghastly practices, diseases mistaken for malevolent forces, and the horrors of crude medicine set the backdrop for an onslaught of fast paced, complex, and grandiose epicness from IATT. We are thrilled to deliver to our listeners an even grander, more intense album full of punishing riffs crafted with scalpel-like precision. An ink black blend of extreme metal that envelopes, Nomenclature is sure to have you hooked.

While growing at very fast phase many of us know its important to know when to branch out and step outside of your comfort area, and for us it started as a slow building process branching out to the US, with bands already like Northwind Wolves,Hinayana,Sun Speaker it was time to add another brick to the ever growing US adventure , and we are beyond excited to work with such great band like IATT we are certain it will help in our US endeavours. IATT will be releasing their new album with us in 2019 , Black Lion has always been about the dark extreme side of Metal and IATT fits right in!

Vagrant Where Melodic folk death metal meets "pagan/viking metal" for fans of Vindland,Windir,Amon Amarth, Ensiferum
While trying to close the 2018 year I came across Vagrant completely new and unknown to the idea they blew me away through their music and visuals as amusingly discovered via video production from a company I work with called Titianforged productions, their lyric video for one the songs which I heard kept haunting me with their epic melody's and brutal sound. I just felt I just could not resist the chance on discovering a complete new act. Vagrant will be releasing their new album in 2019

Vagrant. Deep inside a raging storm there is a truth. Untold and forgotten and too silent to be heard. A truth that seeks to voiced. Founded in 2016, this Band steps into the depths of human volatility and despair and displays these untold stories in a versatile, refreshing way. The lyrics pierce the tissue of shallowness in order to reveal a fragile, vulnerable core.
Composed by Stanley Robertson, the songs stand out through unique versatility enhanced by Dragnier´s rough singing style only to be completed by Arnaud's smooth bass play and backing vocals.
