DEAD

I’ve been swimming circles
with the sharks inside my head

Back to sleep you go
But I can’t shut my eyes
Your rainclouds start to pour
And this umbrella won’t hold up anymore

Can you hear me now

Your hands have made me who I am
A bitter man
And one day, you’ll face reality
I just hope I’m there to see your face

There’s a wind it attacks
I no longer react to its venomous blows, oh it comes and it goes
And you’ll sit there and listen, don’t beg for attention
I’ll take you for granted I won’t even speak of your name

Your hands have made me who I am
A bitter man
And one day, you’ll face reality
I just hope I’m there to see your face
Now that I have the floor
You threw your punches
So now I guess it’s my turn

And now you beg for a new beginning
Cause all your plans fell through
And the ceiling pulls apart
And the clouds begin to scatter

Can you hear me now

Your hands have made me who I am
A bitter man
And one day, you’ll face reality
I just hope I’m there to see your face
Now that I have the floor
You threw your punches
So now I guess it’s my turn
