KIRRA reveal new ‘Free’ music video about social media giants regulating free speech

Hot off the heels of a nationwide tour supporting Blacktop Mojo and Otherwise, alternative metal band Kirra have revealed a new music video and single for the song ‘Free‘. This is the second single from the band’s upcoming full-length album Redefine, which is set for a worldwide release on January 31, 2020. The video was directed by Mathew Austin at Stillpoint Visions. Watch it right now via YouTube!

“When I wrote this song, I was reading Brave New World by Aldous Huxley at the time which is a staggeringly terrifying book if you understand the nexus between philosophy and politics in modern society” says guitarist Daxton Page. Vocalist Gabriel Parson continues, “There’s an increase of pressure being put on the biggest social media companies to regulate the conversations people are having, which puts us on a very slippery slope. There was some famous poet who said something which has always stuck with me which was ‘who will watch the watchers’, and mow we must ask this question as well…”
Kirra will release Redefine on January 31, 2020 via Eclipse Records. The album contains an earful of seventeen melodious active rock anthems. It was produced by guitarist Daxton Page and mastered by Matt Mercado (Soil, The Outfit, Candlebox). The band have also revealed a previous music video from the album for the first single “Caving In”, which has already surpassed 30,000 streams on Spotify and 55,000 views on YouTube in just 4 weeks’ time. Redefine is the band’s third album, and it contains an earful of seventeen melodious active rock anthems, mastered by Matt Mercado (Soil, The Outfit, Candlebox).
