I've been blind to all my faults, I lost control of all my ghosts, I can't escape but for you I'll try, But times they change and we'll stay the same, and yeah the storms will fade and we'll sail across the ocean, trust me I've been there before, I know how hard it is to feel like no one would notice if you left. I'm sorry that I've not been myself, I've been so lost and disconnected but I'm looking back with new perspective. I won't focus on me because all the things you loved have crumbled into dust, yeah I'm the one you trust. You're everything I see, the more that I believe that I can fix the problems, pretend I know the way to solve them. If I could only make you smile tonight then that's okay, I wanna be there for you trying at least, every single day.

You Know The Drill Are Ready To ‘Blossom’:
Midlands Pop-Punks Release New Video Single From Recent Sophomore EP

10th July 2018: Pop-Punks You Know The Drill has unveiled the video for beautiful new single ‘Blossom’ here, with vocalist Benji Yapp commenting: “It’s definitely the most mellow and chilled out song we've ever written, and as such we wanted the video to match. The video's narrative is loosely based on the lyrics of the song, a couple who have fallen apart, who are trying to right their wrongs and come out of the situation stronger. The entire video was shot inside a Wetherspoons pub, who were kind enough to let us use their entire bar area for the day!" The single is taken from the band’s recently released sophomore EP ‘Selfhood’, available via Scylla Records now.

The Midlands crew are completed by Luke Astley on Guitar and Vocals, Damo Darby on Bass and Brad Potter on Drums. The quartet followed-up their 2016 debut ‘Losing Streak’ with plenty of touring, including their first UK headline run and a slot at the one and only Slam Dunk festival. Approaching ‘Selfhood’, the band ensured they spent plenty of time writing, to get things just right: “We tried hard to not let ourselves be limited by the “pop-punk” label and just write without worrying what people are going to think, which we definitely feel ended up benefitting the record.” They also worked with a fine array: ROAM’s Alex Adam for pre-production; recording between Nightcrawl Studio with Richard Dack and Daly George at The Ranch; mixing by Seb Barlow at Celestial; mastering by Grant Berry at Fader.

The EP sees Astley supporting Yapp on vocals for the first time, bringing a fresh dynamic and complementing their newfound maturity, with the band saying: “this record still sounds like us, only more grown-up”. A must for fans of ROAM, State Champs, and New Found Glory, the band declare: “This EP feels like the first time we have properly found our sound and felt happy with who we are as a band. We have poured so much of our own time and money into these 5 tracks to make everything as perfect as they can possibly be, so we hope that the passion and drive behind this record really shine through.”
